Grounding Ourselves: A Conversation with Shimi, Founder of HoliHub
#16: Shimi is the founder and executive director of HoliHub, a Denver-based non-profit dedicated to holistic recovery. As an adolescent, Shimi fell into a struggle with addiction that took over a decade of his life. His addiction caused him to lose his community and fracture his relationships with his family and himself. He dropped out of high school, lost a scholarship to a prestigious law school, and hit rock bottom — yet his story didn’t end there.
With determination and the support of his family, Shimi turned his life around, choosing to embark on a journey of sobriety and recovery. Now, he lives a fulfilling life dedicated to helping others navigate their own recovery journeys. Through HoliHub, he combines his personal experience, passion for holistic healing, and his deep commitment to be of service.
Tune in to hear Shimi's powerful story as we discuss his path to recovery, how he maintains balance, and what led him to create HoliHub to help others heal.
